Work from home and join a fast-growing Australian fintech company! We’re seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who has a background in IT Infrastructure and Operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • General Qualifications:
    • Be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
    • Secure a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Professional Experience:
    • Command a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 2 years focused on building and managing automated systems and infrastructure
    • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining continuous integration (CI) pipelines for development projects
    • Exhibit proficiency in managing infrastructure changes using version control and basic automation scripts across development and staging environments
  • Technical Skills:
    • Master at least one Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tool (Terraform or CloudFormation) to provision and manage cloud resources
    • Command fluency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash) for system automation and configuration management
    • Possess practical knowledge in containerization technologies (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts (basic Kubernetes commands or ECS/EKS utilization)
  • Specialized Knowledge:
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the CI/CD process flow and the integration of security and testing tools within the pipeline
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of system monitoring and alerting frameworks (Prometheus/Grafana) to maintain application health and performance
    • Exhibit proven capability in troubleshooting application deployments and infrastructure issues across distributed environments
Good To Have

  • Hold a professional certification from a major cloud provider (AWS Certified Developer/SysOps Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator)
  • Bring experience in managing a configuration management system (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Possess knowledge of cost optimization techniques for deployed cloud resources

Key Responsibilities

  • Security and Compliance:
    • Integrate security into every stage of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including static and dynamic application security testing, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management
    • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure all infrastructure and applications adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
    • Regularly audit infrastructure and application configurations for security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, and implement corrective actions
  • Data Management and Database Operations:
    • Collaborate with development and DBA teams to optimize database queries, schemas, and configurations for performance and scalability
    • Implement stringent security controls for databases, including encryption, access control, and auditing, to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • System Architecture and Infrastructure:
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Deployment and Operations:
    • Provide assistance on implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
    • Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of applications and infrastructure
    • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and application health to ensure high availability and reliability
    • Implement and manage effective logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
    • Perform basic troubleshooting of infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve collaboration
    • Communicate infrastructure changes, deployment schedules, and operational insights to relevant stakeholders
    • Educate development teams on best practices for building deployable and operable applications
  • Maintenance and Technical Support:
    • Support infrastructure automation tasks under guidance
    • Maintain and optimize existing infrastructure automation tools, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
    • Participate in on-call operational support while being heavily supported by senior team members
    • Perform regular security patching and system upgrades
  • Process Improvement and Best Practices:
    • Champion DevOps culture, principles, and best practices across the organization
    • Continuously seek to improve the automation, efficiency, reliability, and security of systems and processes
This is a full-time position following the 9 AM to 6 PM Manila schedule.
