Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
Monitor waste management, emissions, wastewater, and other environmental aspects of operations.
Prepare and submit environmental reports and regulatory documents.
Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training for employees.
Liaise with government agencies, including the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Implement pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability programs.
Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Accredited Pollution Control Officer certification (as required by local regulations).
Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in environmental management and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Skills

Technical Skills

Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and DENR requirements.
Understanding of pollution control technologies and environmental management systems.
Familiarity with waste management, wastewater treatment, air emission monitoring, and hazardous materials handling.
Ability to conduct environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
Proficiency in preparing regulatory reports, permits, and documentation.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is an advantage.

Analytical Skills

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
Ability to identify environmental risks and recommend corrective actions.
Data collection, monitoring, and environmental performance analysis.

Communication Skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
Strong coordination and liaison skills with regulatory agencies, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
Capability to conduct environmental awareness and compliance training.
