Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports the Supervisor of the department in the over-all supervision of the WMG department. Implements the approved wastewater treatment procedures, ensure completeness of filling out data sheets, monitors chemical consumption and cycle time.
• Ensures proper operation of equipment in the work area and immediately report defects for proper action and to avoid delays due to in-operable equipment.
• Helps maintain clean and safe department and for compliance with the company’s EHS rules, procedures and regulations.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent. College level is an advantage
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Plant
• Experience in a Chemical Plant Industry/Wastewater Treatment Plant is an advantage
  
  

Skills

• In-depth knowledge in Wastewater treatment functions/activities, procedures and work instructions & extensive knowledge in chemicals (properties, handling, etc.)
• Possess strong interpersonal skills
• Works effectively with other members of the Department.
  
  

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite / hybrid / remote
• Chemical Manufacturing environment
• Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 kg.
• Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment and personnel protection equipment.
• Loose fitting clothes and jewelries are not permitted to be worn.
