Production Operator

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Management - Volume targets are met to meet the production requirement.
• Productivity and Process Improvement- Actively participate in the implementation of productivity improvement projects, as well as cost savings initiatives in the various areas within the Selenium Production Plant.
• Environmental, Health and Safety - Actively participate in the investigation of near-misses and incidents, and ensuring that these are reported and commitment dates for closure of the actions are followed.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High school graduate, vocational course graduate, or TESDA-certified in relevant field
• Experience and background in a chemical industry is an advantage
• Able to operate machines and equipment
  
  

Skills

• Basic understanding of chemical handling and industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read meters, gauges, and production instructions.
• Physically fit and able to work in shifts.
  
  

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite
• Working condition are normal for a chemical laboratory environment.
• Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 kg.
• Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment and personnel protection equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes/boots and hardhats.
• Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted to me worn.
