Perform manual hand work of optical lenses in accordance with defined process specifications.
Use appropriate polishing pads, slurries, and hand tools based on job requirements.
Control and adjust pressure, motion, and polishing time to achieve target optical performance and surface quality.
Inspect lenses for scratches, pits, hairlines, surface defects, and parametric compliance.
Document production and inspection results to ensure quality and traceability compliance.
Follow established work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
Report any process abnormalities, defects, or tool/equipment issues to the supervisor.
Coordinate with the team for rework, corrective actions, and process improvements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and materials.
Comply with 5S, quality, and continuous improvement practices.
Education & Experience
High School graduate or vocational/technical course graduate
With at least 1 year of relevant work experience in manufacturing or production environment.
Skills
Strong and steady hand control for precision manual work.
Ability to maintain consistent quality output under repetitive tasks.
High level of focus and concentration for extended periods of detailed work.
Good problem recognition skills to identify process inconsistencies or quality risks.
Ability to adapt to process changes and product variations.
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for workmanship quality.
Ability to manage time effectively to meet production targets and deadlines.
Good teamwork and cooperation skills in a production environment.
Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical and quality skills.
Basic documentation and record-keeping discipline.
Working Conditions
This position requires 100% on-site work at the manufacturing facility.
Work is performed in a production and/or cleanroom environment, as required by the process.
Requires extended periods of manual, repetitive hand work and close visual focus.
May involve sitting or standing for long periods depending on process requirements.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, or eye protection may be required.
Work schedule may include shift work, overtime, weekends, or holidays based on production needs.
Must comply with all safety, quality, and cleanliness standards within the facility.
