Job Description

The Vendor Account Manager (eCommerce) is a pivotal role within our dynamic organization, responsible for building and fostering successful partner relationships with key vendors on our eCommerce platform. This position demands strong interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the digital marketplace. As a Vendor Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our vendors, ensuring they have a seamless and productive experience on our platform. You will work closely with internal teams to align vendor objectives with our business goals, driving growth and addressing challenges effectively. Your ability to analyze performance metrics and devise strategies to optimize vendor performance will be crucial in maintaining a competitive edge in the eCommerce sector.


Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendor partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive vendor performance improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to align their strategies with platform goals.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new vendors, ensuring seamless integration onto the platform.
  • Resolve vendor issues promptly, enhancing their satisfaction and platform experience.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to address vendor needs and objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide actionable insights and feedback.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to benefit both the company and vendor partners.
  • Manage vendor pricing strategies and promotional activity oversight.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with vendors to assess and optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and eCommerce best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management, preferably in an eCommerce setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for effective vendor interaction.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic vendor management plans successfully.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, sales analytics tools, and market trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
