Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Keeper to join our dynamic team. The Stock Keeper is responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are maintained in alignment with company policies and procedures. With a keen focus on accuracy, this role requires managing stock documentation, optimizing inventory levels, and coordinating with other team members to ensure the seamless operation of inventory storage and dispatch. Ideal candidates will possess a proficient understanding of inventory management systems, a deep attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining an orderly and efficient working environment. This position plays a vital role in supporting operational excellence and ensuring the company's inventory needs are met effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular stock counts.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments to ensure correct quantities and condition.
  • Organize and store inventory efficiently, using best space management practices.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to manage excess or insufficient stock levels.
  • Prepare and distribute inventory reports to relevant departments as needed.
  • Monitor stock discrepancies and initiate corrective actions for inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and health standards in the storage area at all times.
  • Assist in inventory audits to identify gaps or inaccuracies in stock records.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate smooth stock operations.
  • Support new inventory process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of storage facilities at all times.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch of inventory items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Stock Keeper or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities for a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and vendors.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with adherence to safety procedures.
