Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for our organization. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration while ensuring adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and have the ability to work under tight deadlines. With excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail, you will manage payroll-related queries, reconcile discrepancies, and collaborate with HR and finance teams to optimize payroll operations. Responsibilities

  • Process monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payrolls in a timely manner.
  • Verify accuracy of employee timesheets and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
  • Coordinate with HR for accurate information on employee status and compensation.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll calculations and deductions.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support financial audits as required.
  • Administer earnings, deductions, and payroll taxes using the payroll system.
  • Process and distribute W-2s, T4s, and other year-end tax documents.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with benefits administrators to ensure accurate benefit deductions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of payroll procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential data.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex payroll issues.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
