Job Description

As a Project Manager/Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. Your expertise and leadership will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget and timelines. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver successful projects that meet client expectations. Your role will also involve managing resources, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will act as the primary contact between the clients, project teams, and stakeholders, requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure all project phases are completed on time.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure optimal productivity and cost efficiency across projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Ensure that all construction projects comply with legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any deviations from the project plan.
  • Lead project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and any adjustments needed.
  • Prepare detailed project budgets and perform cost control to adhere to financial constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, and between teams and clients.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation for review and future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction management or project management.
  • Proven track record of leading successful construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines effectively.
