Job Description

An Inventory Analyst is a critical role within any organization that deals with the logistics of product stock and supply chain management. As an Inventory Analyst, you will be tasked with overseeing and optimizing inventory levels to ensure that the company can meet its customer demand efficiently while minimizing costs. This position requires a blend of strategic enacting skills and analytical prowess, enabling the company to make informed decisions regarding stock control and inventory planning. You will work closely with different departments including sales, finance, and operations to align inventory strategies with business objectives. Your primary goal is to maintain the delicate balance between having just enough inventory to meet demand without overstocking, ultimately driving the company's profitability and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels and develop efficient inventory management strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits and prepare detailed reports on inventory levels and trends.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Monitor stock levels daily to ensure optimal inventory and minimal stockouts.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to coordinate timely delivery of inventory orders.
  • Implement solutions for any inventory discrepancies and reconcile differences promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adjust system records as necessary.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory management software systems and updates.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for inventory control management.
  • Train and support staff on inventory management best practices and protocols.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize inventory budgets and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Analyst or similar position in inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
