The Finance Associate Manager – CAPEX Controllership serves as the key finance partner for assigned business units, overseeing capital expenditure monitoring, analysis, and financial reporting. The role is responsible for ensuring that CAPEX-related activities are aligned with financial policies, internal controls, and approved budgets while providing insights that support operational and investment decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any business-related course
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred
With at least 3 to 4 years of proven experience in CAPEX monitoring, controllership, financial analysis, and reporting
Strong understanding of finance policies, internal controls, and compliance standards
Background in industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, real estate, or utilities is an advantage
Candidates from audit firms are preferred, particularly those who handled clients within the above-mentioned industries
Experience in accounts payable or payable processing is a plus
Proficient in financial reporting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary finance partner of assigned business units, providing financial guidance and support on CAPEX-related initiatives
Monitor and analyze capital expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets, project timelines, and financial objectives
Prepare and present accurate CAPEX reports, financial analyses, and performance insights to management and key stakeholders
Review and validate CAPEX requests, project costs, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies
Conduct variance analysis and identify financial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement
Ensure adherence to finance policies, procedures, and internal control standards across all CAPEX-related transactions and activities
Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to support project implementation, financial planning, and budget utilization tracking
Assist in strengthening financial governance by recommending and implementing process enhancements and control measures
Support accounts payable-related activities for CAPEX transactions, including invoice validation and payment monitoring when necessary
Participate in audits and provide the required financial documentation, analyses, and explanations related to CAPEX management and compliance initiatives
