Job Description

The Credit Management Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the credit management operations within the organization. This position is responsible for managing the credit team, formulating credit policies, and ensuring the company's credit risk is minimized while supporting business growth. The supervisor should have a strong background in financial analysis and credit assessment to facilitate effective credit decision-making. With a keen eye for detail and excellent leadership skills, the ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the credit department, ensuring compliance with company policies and fostering a culture of teamwork and efficiency. This role involves collaborating with sales, finance, and risk management departments to achieve the company’s financial objectives and maintain positive client relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide the credit management team in daily operations and tasks.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of credit policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that credit risk is managed effectively to protect company assets.
  • Review and analyze credit applications and reports to determine borrowers' creditworthiness.
  • Maintain relationships with clients to facilitate smooth credit operations.
  • Prepare regular credit risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely reporting of credit data.
  • Analyze recent credit trends and adjust strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for credit team members.
  • Monitor and report on credit performance and achievement of set targets.
  • Provide leadership in resolving complex credit issues and disputes effectively.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business goals related to credit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or related roles.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a credit team successfully.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial analysis and credit assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant credit reporting and management software applications.
