About the Job:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Asset Performance Engineer to join our clients team and ensure the reliable operation and optimisation of commercial Solar PV systems. In this role, you will monitor system performance using advanced platforms, lead remote troubleshooting, and provide clear technical guidance to contractors and field teams. Working closely with the Service and Quality Assurance teams, you will analyse performance data, identify root causes of faults, and drive continuous improvement to enhance system efficiency and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyse solar PV system performance using commercial-scale monitoring platforms.
Provide clear and structured technical support, including remote troubleshooting for field technicians.
Investigate underperformance, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Manage service cases and coordinate with the Service & QA teams for timely issue resolution.
Prepare detailed system performance reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Support project onboarding by reviewing design, installation quality, and operational readiness.
Collaborate with engineers and suppliers for design improvements and warranty claims.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of solid experience in solar PV monitoring, performance, or operations (commercial solar PV system is a must).
Proficiency in asset management and monitoring software (beyond inverter-specific apps).
Excellent communication and coordination skills for remote technical support.
Knowledge of PV system design, installation, and Australian Standards.
Highly organised, analytical, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Can start immediately, if possible.
