We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer with a strong background in PLS‑CAD and transmission line design. This role will serve as part of our Energy team, providing technical expertise across all phases of transmission line projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide Senior technical leadership in the planning, design, and delivery of overhead (and where applicable underground) transmission line projects, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and commercially sound outcomes.
• Act as a key technical authority for utility‑scale renewable and grid infrastructure projects in the Philippines and international markets.
• Perform transmission line design using PLS‑CAD, including modelling, analysis, and optimization for transmission lines 69kV to 500kV
• Prepare design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical documentation, reports, specifications. Develop design criteria and design basis reports, structure spotting, alignment layouts, plan & profile drawings, sag‑tension calculations and loading cases, bill of materials, structure lists, hardware and insulator specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with PEC, NGCP, IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS, and project‑specific standards.
• Provide technical input during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), supplier evaluations, and construction support phases.
• Support projects from feasibility studies, conceptualization, detailed design and construction stages
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality and compliance with relevant standards
• Provide training, mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to junior and mid‑level transmission line engineers and designers.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, methodologies, cost estimates, and tenders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project delivery. Represent GHD in technical discussions, design reviews, and selected client or site engagements.
  
  

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficiency in PLS‑CAD. Experience PLS‑POLE, or PLS‑TOWER is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience delivering utility‑scale transmission line projects in the Philippines and/or internationally
• Consulting or client-facing experience is a plus, including proposal writing and stakeholder coordination
