Universal Robina Corporation is looking for Accounting Analyst.
The Accounting Analyst – Joint Ventures, Consolidation & Reporting is responsible for managing the accounting, analysis, and reporting of joint venture (JV) transactions in compliance with accounting standards and internal company policies. The role supports both Controllership (accounting, compliance, reconciliations, and consolidation) and FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis). This position plays a key role in preparing consolidated reports for management and JV partners and in providing financial insights to support informed decision‑making.
What are the Responsibilities?
Controllership and Accounting
Record and review JV-related transactions in compliance with PFRS and internal accounting policies.
Perform monthly reconciliations of JV accounts and ensure intercompany balances are aligned and eliminated during consolidation.
Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentation for month-end close.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements for JV-related activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of JV agreements, contracts, and financial obligations.
Consolidation and Reporting
Support the preparation of consolidated financial results, including elimination of intercompany and JV balances.
Prepare and review JV financial reports for management, partners, and group reporting purposes.
Analyze and validate JV submissions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Coordinate with group finance teams to meet reporting deadlines and consolidation requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for JV entities.
Conduct variance analysis on JV performance versus budget/forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Build financial models and conduct scenario analyses to evaluate JV profitability and cash flows.
Provide recommendations and insights to management regarding JV performance and financial trends.
Business Partnering & Process Improvement
Act as a key finance contact for JV partners of BCF, addressing financial inquiries and supporting joint reviews.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, legal, tax) to ensure proper treatment of JV activities.
Recommend and implement improvements to consolidation, reporting, and JV accounting processes.
Act as oversight for JV compliance to tax, government and audit requirements.
Support special projects such as new JV set-ups, restructurings, and systems enhancements.
What are the Qualifications?
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or consolidation, preferably in a multinational or Joint Ventures environment.
Strong knowledge of PFRS and intercompany/JV accounting.
Experience in financial consolidation and reporting; exposure to tools such as SAP BPC, Oracle HFM, OneStream, or similar is an advantage.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
