Search And Rescue Responder Transport Officer II

Respond rapidly to SAR activations and deployments as directed by the Incident Command System (ICS).

Conduct ground searches using established search patterns, techniques, and navigation tools.

Perform rescue operations in diverse environments, including mountains, forests, rivers, collapsed structures, or urban areas.

Provide emergency medical care to victims, including basic first aid or CPR.

Operate rescue tools and communication equipment (radios, GPS, drones, etc.).

Maintain readiness of personal and team equipment; assist with vehicle and gear maintenance.

Document field activities, complete mission reports, and follow operational protocols.

Participate in training sessions, mock rescues, and readiness exercises.

Maintain personal physical fitness and knowledge of current SAR best practices.

Support logistical tasks such as setting up base camps, transporting victims, or managing supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be in good physical condition — able to hike, carry equipment, and endure challenging environments (e.g., rugged terrain, bad weather).

Completion of Basic SAR Training/s and other related training
