Location/Division Specific Information

Business Intelligence Delivery and Operations team is part of corporate IT function under Enterprise Technology Organization. BI Team is responsible for data service, data lake and analytics services for internal customers of Thermo Fisher Scientific

The Data Integration Developer role provides an opportunity for data job seekers who currently hold a data science, data analytics, computer engineering, or like engineering degree. Individuals will be working with team of data analyst, data engineers in a fast-paced bi analytics environment. The candidate will contribute to development projects, pilots and advance best design practices.

What will you do?

• Provide support related to data analytics, business reporting projects including prototyping, testing, and design
• Support global business functions for key reporting/analytics deliverables
• Be involved with many aspects of data acquisition, modeling and mapping and some design and analysis tasks
• Perform new Data Source Evaluation and Design, Data Cleansing and Preparation, ETL Development, Testing, Maintenance and Troubleshooting, Business Rule Design and Development, Relational and Dimensional Model Design.
• Creates and helps maintain technical and end-user documentation for new and existing integrations and applications
• Supports Incidents, Requests and all Other Support activities as per standard ITSM Life cycle
• Automate repetitive tasks
• Be available and participate in on-call schedule to address critical operational incidents and business requests
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
  
  

• Have 3-5 experience in SAP technology such as SAP BW/4HANA (Primary skill set) and SAP BOBJ (Secondary Skill set)
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team across the globe
• Willingness to learn & innovate new solutions
• Is passionate about applications, analytics and end-user productivity
• Exceptional customer focus
• Degree with major in computer science engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university (preferred)
• Master's degree in computer science engineering from an accredited university (desired)
  
  

• Core BI Required Experience: SAP BI/BW, BW/4HANA development and production support (Must have)
• BI Reporting Experience: SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) development and production support (Desirable)
• ETL: BODS (desirable)
• Other Desirable SAP skill is CDS views development in S/4 HANA.
• 3-5 years of solid knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence tools (BW, BW/4HANA and BOBJ)
• Troubleshoot and support SAP BI solutions
• Prepare and validate BI solution design incl. dataflows, data sources, reporting and planning functionality.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BI Data architecture, Star schema and OLAP reporting models.
• SAP ERP application, data and processes experience is desired.
