Your Role And Responsibilities

As an SAP ABAP Development Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SAP solutions across multiple modules using technologies such as WRICEF, OData, CDS, and HANA. The position oversees end‑to‑end technical delivery, ensuring high‑quality development, system performance, and seamless integration across the SAP landscape. In addition to hands‑on development, this role provides leadership and guidance to an ABAP team, driving adherence to best practices and development standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Lead ABAP development efforts by designing, building, and enhancing WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) to support end‑to‑end SAP solution requirements across multiple modules.
• Develop and optimize SAP OData services, CDS views, and HANA‑based artifacts to enable modern, scalable, and high‑performance integrations and applications across SAP and non‑SAP systems.
• Oversee technical integration across SAP modules by ensuring consistent development standards, reviewing code quality, resolving cross‑module dependencies, and providing guidance on performance tuning and scalability.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to the ABAP development team by assigning tasks, mentoring junior developers, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring adherence to SAP development best practices.
• Collaborate with functional teams and infrastructure stakeholders to design, test, and deliver robust technical solutions while ensuring application availability, performance, and long‑term maintainability.
  
  

• Advanced ABAP Development and WRICEF Expertise: ability to design and develop complex ABAP solutions, including workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms, ensuring high‑quality and scalable technical deliverables.
• Proficiency in OData, CDS, and SAP BTP: skilled in building OData services, CDS views, and HANA‑optimized artifacts to support modern UI frameworks, analytics, and high‑performance integrations.
• SAP Module Integration and Technical Architecture Understanding: knowledge of how SAP modules interact, enabling effective troubleshooting, cross‑functional solution design, and consistent technical standards across the entire SAP landscape.
• Technical Leadership and Team Management: capability to lead and mentor an ABAP development team, review code, allocate tasks, and enforce best practices to ensure efficient and high‑quality project delivery.
• Performance Optimization and System Troubleshooting: experience analyzing system performance issues, optimizing custom code, and ensuring availability, scalability, and long‑term maintainability of SAP applications.
  
  

• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 Development: ability to design or support modern user interfaces using SAP Fiori and UI5, enabling improved user experiences and extending front‑end functionality beyond traditional SAP screens.
• Knowledge of Agile or DevOps Practices: familiarity with agile development methods, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools to improve development efficiency, collaboration, and deployment quality.
• Understanding of SAP Integration Tools (PI/PO or CPI) and SAP BTP: awareness of SAP integration platforms that helps in designing or coordinating end‑to‑end interface solutions between SAP and external systems.
