We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Reconciliation Analyst.
The Opportunity
- The Reconciliations Analyst is responsible to do daily/weekly/monthly cash, securities & Fund reconciliations to ensure all breaks are identified and cleared in a timely basis. He/she must be able to escalate breaks that are long outstanding and ensure timely monitoring.

- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the bank’s products, operations processes and procedures

In This Role, You Will
Impact on the Business
- Perform reconciliation tasks on cash balances, security / bullion movements and holdings, outstanding derivative positions either using system tools or manually
- Carry out primary level of investigation on discrepancies / un-reconciled breaks and assign cases to relevant product teams via workflow or detailed reports
- Monitor the status of outstanding cases and ensure that appropriate actions are being taken by product teams
- Conduct user acceptance test before the launch of new products / systems or strategic initiatives
- Contribute proactively to the improvement of operational efficiency and quality of work within the team
Customers / Stakeholders
- Ensure that all breaks are proper allocated within SLA required
- Conduct monthly governance meeting
- Reply and attend to enquiries/feedback for internal/external clients.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Ensure proper delegation of tasks and back up colleagues in accordance with task delegation
- Training of new joiners
- Support team activities
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Being aware of all accounts that you are responsible for reconciling
- Understand the usage of accounts to be reconciled
- Ensure that reconciliations are performed within the required time frame
- Initiate actions to clear outstanding items and monitor their clearance
- Escalate exceptionally large or unusual outstanding items
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong aptitude to understand the underlying banking and investment products being reconciled
- Able to work within tight deadlines, and with multiple and simultaneous process concerns
- Able to work independently whilst being part of a larger team
- Considerable flexibility in working varying shifts to support European and Asian business hours
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
