The Product Engineer is responsible for owning and driving the overall user experience strategy for an in-house, cloud-native enterprise system undergoing modernization. The role combines hands-on design execution with UX leadership, ensuring usability, consistency, and clarity across complex operational workflows, data-driven interfaces, and AI-assisted features.
This role serves as the UX authority for the platform, guiding design standards, mentoring other designers, and partnering closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end UX strategy and design direction for the new platform.
Design user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications.
Translate complex operational and business workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences.
Lead UX decision-making across modules to ensure consistency, usability, and scalability.
Work closely with developers implementing interfaces using modern frontend frameworks.
Design experiences that clearly present data insights, alerts, and AI-assisted outputs in an understandable and actionable way.
Define, maintain, and evolve the design system, UI standards, and interaction patterns.
Conduct usability reviews, heuristic evaluations, and stakeholder walkthroughs.
Review and provide guidance on UI/UX work produced by other designers or vendors.
Ensure designs meet accessibility, responsiveness, and performance standards.
Provide limited oversight and improvements to the legacy platform’s UI/UX where required.
Required Skills & Experience
5–10+ years of experience in UI/UX design for enterprise or system-based applications.
Proven experience leading UX strategy and hands-on design execution.
Strong portfolio showcasing complex web and mobile systems.
Expertise in UX principles, interaction design, and usability testing.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent design tools.
Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and business teams.
Ability to design interfaces for data-heavy and workflow-driven systems.
Design & Technology Experience
Experience designing for web and mobile platforms.
Working knowledge of frontend development concepts and constraints.
Familiarity with design systems and component-based UI design.
Nice to Have
Experience designing systems used by operations, field, or back-office teams.
Experience with data-heavy or analytics-driven interfaces.
Exposure to UX design for AI-assisted or decision-support features.
Experience working in Agile or sprint-based delivery teams.
Must be willing to work onsite at our Ortigas Center office and be comfortable working UK time hours.
