Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Capacity Planner (Engineer).
The capacity planner’s main responsibility is to provide an outlook on national manufacturing capacity and determine where and when a new line is needed to support business objectives of URC BCFG Philippines. This person will own the capacity planning tool and ensure all data on demand and line capacities are well maintained and up to date. In additional, the Capacity Planner will also lead cross-functional study teams whose main objective is to justify the viability of the new line requirements. Lastly, the capacity planner will need to perform multiple scenario analyses which will aid top-management to make strategic decisions.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
Strategic Capacity Planning
Determines when a new manufacturing line is needed based on projected capacity utilization given the latest demand requirement
Determine when a new line is needed, where it is best installed, and what capabiltiies will it have based on the requirements of the business.
Owner of the 10-year Manufacturing Capacity Masterplan of URC BCFG Philippines
Refreshes the Manufacturing Capacity Masterplan twice a year.
Identifies the new line installations needed in the next 3 years for CAPEX budget preparations.
New Line Study Management
Leads cross functional teams to determine the feasibility of a proposed new line.
Ensures each identified action items is completed within the agreed timeline.
Provides regular update on the progress of each study with key stakeholders.
Demand - Capacity Simulations and Projections
Gathering of required documents in collaboration with BU Legal and Accounting, plant personnel, broker, etc. Creates multiple capacity simulations which aid strategic management decisions
Performs Dem-Cap simulations as usually requested by commercial teams and supply chain partners.
Capacity Planning Tool Data Maintainance
Ensures all data parameters and assumptions are up-to-date
Conducts discussions and alignments with several technical teams to ensure accuracy of line capacity assumptions.
What are the Qualifications?
Must be a graduate of B.S. Industrial/Manufacturing/Management Engineerin
Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience
Must have an experience in planning preferably in an FMCG industry.
Must have strong communication and presentation skills
Must be fluent in writing and speaking in English
Must have hands-on experience in cross functional team collaboration
Must have an advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Programs especially MS Excel
Basic knowledge in programming is a plus: (Visual Basic, etc.)
