Manager - Trade Surveillance

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager – Trade Surveillance .

Job Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and training; assist team in resolving process related issues.
• Review the work done by the offshore Surveillance team and provide appropriate developmental feedback
• Lead and provide guidance on the implementation of new monitoring areas, such as asset class, financial products, Markets etc.
• Imperative escalation of potential regulatory and internal market misconduct breaches to Compliance Senior Management onshore.
• Manage and oversee expansion of surveillance to other regions.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to agreed performance levels
• Manage a global team and derive maximum benefit out of their abilities.
• Stay continuously engaged with the team to understand their progress, challenges, improvement areas and development needs.
• Identify gaps in process documentation and address these effectively
• Maintain issues log and track progress in a timely manner.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively within a small team.
• Knowledge of financial markets and in particular, financial market regulation.
• Experience in Trade or E/Voice-Surveillance monitoring / oversight or related environment is preferable.
• Knowledge of the Trading Hub or similar surveillance tool is preferable.
• Ability to understand trade and analyze these for the detection of potential Market Abuse.
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines. Excellent time management and prioritization of work tasks.
• Ability to handle escalated issues and take these forwards with Senior Management.
  
  

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
