Job Description

The Finance Manager plays a critical leadership role within the MBPS Finance Service Delivery Tower, overseeing key finance and accounting functions to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency. This role partners closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights that support informed decision‑making and operational efficiency. The opportunity offers exposure to complex financial operations, people leadership, and transformation initiatives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial close activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements, including GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations
  • Supervise the preparation, review, and validation of accounting, tax, and financial reports, accruals, and prepayments
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions or adjustments as needed
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, coordinating audit deliverables, walkthroughs, inquiries, and corrective actions
  • Maintain strong technical expertise by monitoring emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and decision support to senior management on performance, profitability, cost management, and risk
  • Oversee cash flow planning, treasury activities, and asset management to support business operations
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and finance processes, including digital and automation initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a high‑performance, ethical, and collaborative culture
  • Participate in and support finance‑related special projects, system enhancements, process transformations, and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Management Reporting
  • CPA designation or its equivalent (CFA, Chartered Accountant, etc.) is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Shared Services Center environment
  • Experience supporting processing migration or transition initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and people leadership capabilities
  • Experience leading or supporting audit processes and financial governance initiatives
  • Familiarity with finance systems and digital finance tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite)
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, geographies, and time zones
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguity
