Job Description

The primary role is to represent the company in criminal, civil as well as labor cases and other actions that may be filed by and/or against the company to assure that the interests and rights of the company are protected and maintained.

What You’ll Do

  • Attend court hearings as well as follow up, if necessary, of cases to stay updated of the stages and statuses thereof, and ensure that the best interests of the company is preserved;
  • Attend mediation hearings before the appropriate quasi-judicial agencies as well as settlement conference or meetings particularly when settlement is advised and is the more suitable course of action;
  • Preparation and filing of pleadings with appropriate forums and/or venues. Includes writing of legal documents such as affidavits, contracts or memorandum which may be required in a given case or requested by the appropriate Business Unit;
  • Monitors any update of the assigned cases and to recommend steps or action to be taken in relation thereto;
  • Attends weekly or scheduled meeting with Anti-Fraud, to render legal opinion, answer queries, provide update of fraud related cases and to recommends steps or actions to be taken in a given situation or circumstance;
  • Supervises, monitors, coordinates with the assigned Paralegal with regard to the cases assigned to maintain accurate case files as well as updates and developments thereof;
  • Research of the different laws and jurisprudence and to interpret and apply the same to cases or situations especially with those of substantially similar facts;
  • Review of HR and other related contracts to determine and examine whether such contracts and the terms thereof are valid while at the same time taking into consideration the best interests of the company;

What You Need To Have

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Member of the IBP in good standing;
  • Excellent communication skills, oral or written;
  • Knowledge and skills in basic computer software such as Office 365.
  • Must be amenable traveling nationwide
