About The Job
The IT Cloud Administrator will have to develop, configure, implement, and manage the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform. The professional assists in setting up public or private cloud systems. They must learn how to balance workload and deploy them in an automated way. The individual should monitor and alter the systems as per the prescribed methodology
What You Will Do
Cloud Architecture & Delivery
- Lead the implementation of the organization’s Azure/AWS cloud strategy in the Philippines.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices, optimization, and policy compliance.
- Manage cloud subscriptions, ensuring cost efficiency and effective resource allocation.
- Produce technical documentation and training materials for internal teams.
Business & Solution Analysis
- Translate business requirements into functional cloud solutions and architecture designs.
- Develop standardized, scalable, and automated cloud VM deployment models.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with security teams to embed regulatory and enterprise security requirements into designs.
- Maintain cloud VM security baselines and enforce governance policies, access control, and tagging standards.
Integration & Operations
- Integrate Azure/AWS with on‑premise and third‑party systems, including APIs, connectors, and middleware.
- Extend core services (DNS, Active Directory, etc.) into cloud environments to ensure operability.
Resiliency & Business Continuity
- Design and implement resilient, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with business continuity requirements.
Monitoring & Event Management
- Define performance and security thresholds; implement cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting aligned with enterprise event management.
Incident Management
- Ensure cloud uptime and act as second‑level escalation for Azure/AWS incidents.
- Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to resolve issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
Cost Optimization & Governance
- Identify and drive cloud cost‑saving opportunities.
- Manage cloud billing, license usage, and governance policies across Azure/AWS environments.
What you need to have
- 3 years System Administration and hand-on experience operating AWS and/or Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. Microsoft Azure and/or AWS certifications are preferred.
- Experience in designing AWS/Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions from scratch based on business requirements.
- Experience in extending or integrating on-premise systems such as DNS, Active Directory, LDAP with AWS/Azure deployments.\
- Experience in extending on-premise or third-party security and data protection infrastructure such as firewalls, WAF and ACLs or adopting AWS/Azure security tools to meet security and data protection requirements.
- Experience connecting AWS/Azure deployments with on-premise or third-party applications, websites and data sources using APIs, connectors, middleware, etc.
- Advance-level experience in Windows and RHEL operating systems, Active Directory, LDAP, SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Experience with server and desktop virtualization technologies such as VMWare ESXi and vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper.
- Knowledge in Scripting is a must.
- Experience in routing and switching, Amazon VPC subnets, routing tables and NATs and Azure DLA and Q10 architectures.\ Understanding on network concept and protocol.
- Must have experience and Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, Zabbix, Solar Winds) or other cloud monitoring platforms
- Experience in VMware and ESXi (6.x or higher) configuration and management experience.
