The Employee Engagement Specialist plays a key role in cultivating a positive, engaging, and high-performing work environment. The role is responsible for initiating and executing employee engagement activities and people culture programs that align with business goals and enhance employee satisfaction.
This position drives engagement strategies from planning to execution, ensures alignment with organizational values, and partners with leaders and teams across all departments. The role also leads documentation, vendor management, KPI tracking, and execution of initiatives while serving as a hands-on implementer and ambassador of people culture.
Key Responsibilities
People Culture & Engagement Program Leadership
Initiate, lead, and execute people culture programs that promote a values-driven, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
Champion initiatives that foster collaboration, belonging, and continuous engagement.
Drive cross-functional initiatives that reflect organizational values and people-first practices.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure people culture strategies support overall business objectives.
Design, manage, and implement the Annual Employee Engagement Calendar of activities.
Lead the end-to-end execution of engagement programs — from conceptualization to on-site delivery and post-event review.
Coordinate closely with all departments, leaders, and stakeholders to align engagement initiatives with team needs and business priorities.
Act as the primary point of contact and lead coordinator for all employee engagement activities.
Manage vendors, venues, suppliers, and ensure smooth logistics execution.
Deliver high-quality, impactful activities with hands-on event management.
Internal Communications & Organizational Updates
Serve as the primary owner and coordinator of internal communications, with a strong focus on HR-related announcements, employee engagement communications, and organizational updates.
Draft, curate, and disseminate clear, timely, and engaging internal communications related to HR programs, policies, engagement activities, and people initiatives.
Coordinate with HR, leadership, and relevant departments to ensure accurate, aligned, and consistent messaging across the organization.
Manage internal communication channels (e.g., email announcements, internal platforms, notice boards, or digital tools) to drive awareness, participation, and transparency.
Support leadership and HR in cascading key organizational updates, initiatives, and culture-related messages to employees.
Ensure internal communications reflect the organizations values, culture, tone, and people-first approach.
Maintain documentation and archives of official HR and employee-related communications for reference and governance.
Budget Management & Cost Efficiency
Prepare and manage annual and project-based engagement budgets.
Conduct Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) for events and major initiatives.
Monitor actual spend versus budget and optimize for cost efficiency.
Ensure responsible budget stewardship while maximizing engagement impact.
Engagement Metrics, KPIs & Continuous Improvement
Define and track key performance indicators such as but not limited to CSAT, employee survey response, and Budget Efficiency Metrics.
Analyze engagement data, report insights, and recommend improvements.
Drive continuous refinement of engagement and people culture strategies.
Documentation: Policies, SOPs & Guidelines Development
Draft, review, and maintain documentation such as but not limited to employee engagement policies, and people and culture SOPs guidelines.
Ensure documentation meets compliance, supports execution consistency, and is communicated effectively across departments.
Coordinate with leaders, department heads, and internal teams to gain alignment and support for engagement and culture initiatives.
Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams for effective program delivery.
Build and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
Promote participation and serve as a culture ambassador within the organization.
Qualification & Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
HR Certification and other certificates are a plus but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in employee engagement, people culture programs, corporate event execution, or related HR functions.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and managing end-to-end engagement projects.
Experience in policy writing, vendor management, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
