Job Description

As Finance Manager, FP&A – Asia, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering strategic financial insights and operational excellence across the Asia Wealth and Asset Management business. This role combines leadership, stakeholder engagement, and analytical rigor to support planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. You will work closely with regional partners, particularly in Hong Kong, to drive business performance, manage key initiatives, and ensure strong governance and control. With a team of 10–11 professionals under your guidance, you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability. This role is on a morning shift and with flexibility to slide shift for business needs


Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Deliver actionable insights through variance analysis, trend identification, and management reporting.
  • Ensure timely completion of planning and forecasting deliverables.
  • Prepare high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Review and consolidate management reports, business channel reports, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Maintain adequate controls and escalate issues promptly.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production problems and implement timely solutions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with Asia WAM stakeholders, especially in Hong Kong.
  • Communicate effectively with global stakeholders (Finance POCs, Group F&A, COE teams, Compliance, Risk).
  • Recommend process improvements and escalate service issues promptly.
  • Lead governance service delivery calls and provide production updates.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations and optimize team efficiency.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Coach and develop team members through feedback sessions and performance reviews.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and resource alignment with business needs.

Project & Process Management

  • Act as project manager for short-term initiatives, automation, and process improvements.
  • Champion continuous improvement in FP&A reporting and analysis.
  • Lead special projects involving new services, products, or enhancements.


Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, CISI, or CAT is an advantage.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial services or shared services, with 3+ years exposure to people leading role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Wealth & Asset management industry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of production environments and reporting systems.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience migrating tasks from onshore to Manila.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong Microsoft Excel skills required with ability to understand high volume of data and complex formulas. VBA macro skill is not required.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Anaplan. Anaplan Level 1 is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiarity with IFRS tools (SmartView-Essbase, Lawson).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across cultures.
  • Flexible shift schedules and willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Active in professional development and industry engagement.
