Your Role
As a Finance & Accounting Officer, you will function autonomously within a team of administration professionals to provide exceptional financial support and ensure records align with financial policies. You will:
Manage bank transactions and accurate recordings, ensuring the bank account is reconciled every working day.
Oversee the supplier ledger, including the entry of AP invoices, preparation of payment files, and reconciliation of supplier statements within 48 hours of receipt.
Process monthly general ledger transactions, monthly reconciliations, and corporate credit card expense journals.
Prepare monthly payroll tax returns and assist with the preparation of monthly BAS returns.
Coordinate the imports of spare parts and assets while maintaining physical and electronic files.
Review monthly expenses against the budget and assist with the finalization of monthly financial results.
Support operational tasks if required, such as answering calls, processing sales orders, and assisting with logistics coordination. [user input]
What You Need:Non-negotiables
Certificate level of Financial Accounting, relevant financial qualifications, or equivalent relatable experience.
Strong IT skills with proficiency in accounting systems, spreadsheets, and reporting software.
High level of data entry speed and accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple detailed financial tasks simultaneously.
Fluency in communication to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/expertise/experience
5 years of previous experience working in a customer-facing or finance administration position.
Experience with BAS returns (guidance and training can be provided).
Ability to provide backup support to sales and customer service functions.
