Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Design Engineer - Mechanical. The Mechanical Design Engineer creates correct, innovative, safe and cost-effective designs for Mechanical Scope Requirements. He also ensures timely cross-functional approval of design and purchase of overall project requirements.
What Are The Roles And Responsibilities
Effectively supports the coordination across all stakeholders the development and approval of all design standards related to Mechanical utilities work scopes based on construction specification and requirements, considering cost, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
Manages the feasibility stage of the project by collaborating with different functions to have a holistic approach to scope, timelines and budget.
Performs Mechanical Utilities design analysis and calculations according to project requirements, coordinate all mechanical utilities requirements to process, packaging, civil, and electrical teams, drives the correct and timely design and awarding of different scopes, and recommends corrective actions for design issues.
Interfaces with the project mechanical utility suppliers, ensuring correct, timely and cost effective tendering of approved mechanical scope packages.
Supports the Design Manager in managing committed timelines for the design scopes of assigned project, driving completion of project requirements.
Incorporates various established safety and permit compliance strategies to the various packaging work scopes being tendered and awarded.
Prepare and provide necessary reports for proper monitoring of the progress of the project in terms of pre-project requirements, design, tendering and awarding.
And others that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
What Are The Qualifications
Education: Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering, preferably licensed.
With 1 - 3 years of experience in Mechanical Utilities design (HVAC, Steam, Compressed air, WTP, WWTP, water, piping, pumps, etc).
Skills Required: Mathematical and Engineering Acuity, Knowledgeable on 3 - 5 mechanical utility equipment, Understanding of Engineering concepts, Strong Process Design Skills, Basic Project Management Skills.
