Job Description

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of data efficiently.
Design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions to support analytical and business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources into a unified platform.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems to ensure seamless operation.
Work closely with data analysts and scientists to provide clean, reliable datasets for analysis.
Document data engineering processes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Data Engineer Should Have

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and DAX.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management systems.
Experience working with big data frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS and Databricks)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
An understanding of the retail industry would be an advantage.
