Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Civil BIM Technician / CAD Designer/Modeller, ideally three (3) years technical experience specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Experience in creating high quality drawings and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit software based on BIM standards.

role responsibilities

• Develop and produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for civil infrastructure projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, corridors, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Support engineers and design teams in the delivery of roads, drainage, site development, and utility layout plans.
• Create and manage surface models, alignments, plan & profile, assemblies, and cross-sections.
• Prepare and organize drawing sets, ensuring adherence to project standards and templates.
• Implement and maintain BIM standards and ensure compliance with company and client-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with other discipline, BIM technicians (e.g., structural, MEP) to ensure model integration and clash resolution.
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, bill of materials, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain version control and file management through ProjectWise, SharePoint, or other CDE platforms.
• Participate in internal reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
• Support project delivery schedules by managing modelling timelines and updates efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers in interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
  
  

job requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related discipline.
• Proven experience (at least 3 years) as a Civil BIM Technician or Civil 3D Designer in infrastructure or land development projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with hands-on experience in modelling roads, grading, drainage systems, and site infrastructure.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and standards.
• Experience working with BIM collaboration tools such as Navisworks, Revit, Infraworks, etc.
• Good understanding of civil engineering principles related to highways, drainage, and site dev.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of local and int’l. design standards.
• Willingness to adapt to new software tools and workflows as needed.
