The role

The Career Development Placement Officer is responsible for guiding students and alumni toward successful career outcomes by providing comprehensive career support, placement assistance, and employability programs. This role connects students with industry opportunities, equips them with the skills needed for professional success, and maintains strong partnerships with employers and alumni. The manager plays a key role in ensuring graduates are industry-ready while promoting lifelong career growth and professional development.

Your Responsibilities

• Guide students and alumni in career planning, job matching, and placement support.
• Conduct exit interviews and track graduate employment outcomes.
• Plan and deliver workshops, coaching sessions, and career readiness programs.
• Collaborate with faculty and student services to integrate employability skills into student development.
• Maintain alumni databases and coordinate engagement initiatives.
• Analyze placement data and provide insights for program improvement.
• Promote the institutions career services and graduate achievements through communications and content.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, HR, Communication, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in career services, recruitment, HR, or related areas.
• Knowledge of career preparation strategies and graduate placement processes.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with reporting, data management, and digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
• Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and adapt to new technologies.
