The Business Analyst will work as a key liaison with business to gather, analyze, and document
business requirements of numerous business systems. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with the Project Team to ensure project deadlines are met. Previous experience as a business analyst is required. The ideal candidate will join the Digital Experience team, supporting both business-as usual (BAU) and innovative projects throughout the organization to enhance efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Key Functions:
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and observations.
Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria that accurately capture business needs and guide development efforts.
Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined and aligned with business goals.
Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to keep user stories and requirements up-to-date and actionable.
Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring mutual understanding.
Collaborate with agile teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and provide necessary support throughout the sprint lifecycle.
Assist in identifying and resolving impediments that may impact the team’s ability to deliver on sprint goals.
Assist in the development and execution of test cases to validate that delivered features meet the defined acceptance criteria and business requirements.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the final product meets stakeholder expectations and quality standards.
Engage in retrospectives to reflect on team performance and suggest actionable improvements to enhance processes and outcomes.
Propose and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the agile framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or similar) are a plus.
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an Agile environment.
Strong ability to elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in creating and managing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
In-depth knowledge of Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban. Experience with Agile ceremonies and principles.
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar is highly desirable.
Experience in developing test cases and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ability to manage and prioritize product backlogs to align with business objectives and project goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and business needs.
Good working knowledge of business analysis and the BABOK Guide.
