We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager – Trade Surveillance .

Job Responsibilities

  • To carry out extensive reviews of trade surveillance in a review tool for market abuse/ anti-competitive behaviors. Escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Review, investigate and analyze alerts generated by the voice surveillance systems and escalate issues as appropriately.
  • Undertake daily, weekly and monthly monitoring tests to ensure that the risks within the Surveillance RC monitoring plan are mitigated.
  • Analyze and articulately escalate potential breaches to onshore RC colleagues.
  • Assist in training requirements of the new staff that have joined the team.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate level candidate with experience in Surveillance or Compliance environment is preferable (but not essential).
  • An interest, and knowledge, of financial markets, various asset classes and regulation is required.
  • Excellent system skills as the role includes a requirement to undertake complex behavior analysis derived from various data sources.
  • Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of the analysis and findings.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization of work task.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Utilizes own initiative to resolve issues.
  • Need to be flexible to work in shifts.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Experience in Monitoring and Surveillance or related environment is preferred.
  • A good knowledge in Excel with ability to use macros to help solve non-standard problems.
  • An interest in systems and applying them to the analysis of both large amounts and different types of data.
  • Research, analysis, report writing, process improvement, project management.
  • Knowledge of systems such as NICE, Actimize, Bloomberg, is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to navigate Eikon and Bloomberg systems.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
