Universal Robina Corporation is looking for an Associate Manager, Media. Supports the Group Media Manager in developing IMCs that drive brand effectiveness, innovation, and performance. He/She serves as the IMC and innovation enabler within the Media and Digital Marketing (MDM) team — helping brands translate strategy into holistic, data-led, and innovation-enabled campaigns. This role is pivotal in testing emerging platforms, piloting AI tools, and ensuring integration between media, content, and technology within the URC IMC framework. They will also be responsible in driving the media strategy of their assigned categories.

What Are The Job Responsibilities

Strategic Media Planning (for categories and brands)

  • Drive experimentation and innovation in content and media activation.
  • Apply the URC Media Playbook principles and IMC framework in daily operations.
  • Coordinate with brand, agency, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and synergy across touchpoint

Overall Strategic Media Planning

  • In-charge of integrating an overall media plan that will help address brand objectives.
  • Supports category teams and agencies in translating brand strategies into integrated, data-led IMC plans under the URC Total Media framework.

IMC Planning Framework

  • Fully understands URC’s IMC framework that will be the guide of the brand teams in creating a holistic and integrated marketing plan
  • Co-lead planning sessions and orchestrate role of the different teams or stakeholders – Brand Marketing, MDM, CMI, CAPR and agencies (media, creative and PR) – that will result to an IMC plan and map

KPI Setting

  • Helps define measures to track and identify effectiveness and efficiencies of overall media (MMR) and each platform offline (Television, Radio, Print, OOH)
  • Supports definition and tracking of IMC KPIs in partnership with the Efficiency COE and agency teams.

Strategic Media knowledge

  • Know-how of all media offline channels (Television, Radio, Print, OOH etc)
  • Ensures planning principles are considered in all media channels and how it integrates into an overall media and marketing plan

Support other key elements of the URC’s Overall Media Agenda including but not limited to:

  • Consumer funnel planning, from Awareness to Consideration and Purchase Intent
  • Leads experimentation on emerging media formats and automation pilots under guidance from the Group Media Manager

What Are The Qualifications

  • Proficient or technical knowledge on Media Strategy IMC communications planning and ideation developed upon briefing of brand teams
  • Proficient or technical knowledge on all media channel basic and latest principles (Television, Radio, Print, OOH and Digital plus recent media channel trends in the market)
  • Strong understanding in developing consumer insights and analysis which will be an important input to Media Strategy Development
  • Strong understanding of IMC planning and multi-media reach planning and how strategies are translated to Media KPIs
  • Strong understanding of Digital New Media and how it complements to the overall media plan
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to help influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally, locally and regionally
  • Collaboration and ability to work and deliver in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams
