Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Associate, Consumer Insights. Responsible for helping develop marketing and commercial strategies for the URCI categories using consumer, shopper, customer, retail and market data and insights. Drive the growth and entry strategy for new categories through the discovery of sharp, distinctive insights about the market and possible opportunities for innovation.
What Are There Job Responsibilities
Drive the growth strategy for the category through the discovery of sharp, distinctive insights about the market, consumers/shoppers and customers and working with internal and external partners to help create and qualify new product/marketing/retail and trade ideas:
Lead market assessment work for the category
Lead/Support brainstorming sessions and idea labs in collaboration with internal and external partners
Lead development and testing of propositions (including concepts, advertising, products and packaging, etc.)
Creating and qualifying a pipeline of product initiatives
Business tracking for the category: Continuously monitor business performance, market trends and suggest interventions as required
Develops learning plan for the category in line with, and right-sized to deliver business strategies and goal
Help develop the medium to long-term strategies that achieve business goals for the Category by helping identify where to play and how to win choices
Support other key elements of the CI agenda including but not limited to:
Strategic vendor management
Efficient budget management
Helping build capabilities within the CI team as well as the broader Marketing, Sales, and Innovation organization
What Are The Qualifications
Has technical knowledge of basic market research protocols (retail tracking, brand health tracking, product/concept testing, comms testing, qualitative research) and the business application of these research methodologies; with expertise in at least 1 methodology
Good understanding of marketing and sales principles
Broad understanding of consumer and market trends
Combination of : Analytical thinking with the ability to identify patterns within data + Creative thinking to support development of new idea.
