Job Responsibilities

• Proactive approach to the identification of Fraud risk change and potential impacts and Identify Fraud Risks in the relevant business and provide necessary assessments and solutions, including establish and implement strategic policies which ensure exposure to current risks and emerging arising risk is managed appropriately.
• Represent Fraud in relevant governance forums and work closely with relevant stakeholders within Group, Markets, Business and Infrastructure to provide expertise and support.
• Lead / liaison with relevant stakeholder within Global / Regional Fraud and relevant teams to provide expertise and support on all FC risk related matters.
• Develop and maintain a strong and professional working relationship with relevant stakeholders within Risk and Compliance, Business and Global / Regional levels.
• Work effectively on people, budget and planning decisions.
• Drive attainment of functional/functional unit results and share best practice with teams in the regions and globally.
• Resolve any/all identified issues promptly and escalate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns while maintaining and observing all HSBC control standards and implementing the Global FC Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
• Maintain awareness of operational risk within assigned portfolio and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
• Leadership over all FC matters and the management of operational risk.
  
  

Job Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Produce a summary of fraud losses and incidents on a monthly basis, at a Regional level including insights/analysis on notable items.
• Assist in providing commentary for Fraud Risk Maps, Fraud Risk Indicators, Top and Emerging Risk Reports and other similar reports.
• Assist in creation and delivery of the Regional Fraud Risk Education and Awareness Program for Staff and Clients.
• Monitor for regulatory changes affecting fraud across the region and help to drive implementation/compliance as necessary.
• Support the Regional FC Risk Stewards, provide oversight of Fraud controls to effectively challenge risks or control outcomes through analysis and review of Issue Management, L1 and L2 Controls, Inherent and Residual risks. Ensure overdue issues and actions are communicated to the relevant stakeholders as per guidance
• Support with generating of reports which include KPI / KRI metrics and associated trend analysis on a monthly basis.
• Support the Group / Regional Fraud domain in various activities/tasks
• Experience of working with multiple regional teams desirable
