We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager - Processing.

In This Role, You Will

Impact on the Business

  • Maintain forthcoming corporate action events within Aladdin system, liaising with Portfolio or Fund Managers where decisions are required on voluntary events. Ensure that all future corporate actions are on file for all funds and that the data is correct. Coordinate the process of obtaining the fund managers decision on future events and ensure that their decision is received on time. Measured through Late corporate actions and key performance indicators for Fund Services.
  • Act as an interface between the Corporate Actions or Income Team and all clients, custodians, and prime brokers. Raise and monitor service issues and challenge service provision where necessary.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Liaise with clients and custodians. Project a friendly and professional image to clients/third parties at all times and always follow up any issues. Measured through Client and third-party feedback.
  • Query resolution. Process and resolve queries received in relation to cash and stock reconciliations and any client queries we receive. Measured through third party feedback and Key Performance indicators for services.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • To assist the Manager in the delivery of Investment Administration and Middle Office services to assigned clients, in particular Corporate Actions and Income, within agreed quality, timing and output targets.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Participate in user acceptance of new / upgraded software as required. Conduct tests utilizing documented scripts and record accurate results. Measured through User Acceptance projects.
  • Identify & escalate key risks and contribute to identifying controls to mitigate it.
  • Perform start-of-day, mid-day and end-of-day controls and ensure risks are escalated and mitigated.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Knowledge

  • A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations commensurate with the position

Experience

  • Relevant experience in a Securities Services preferably related to Asset Services
  • Experience working in project related environment, through lean six sigma or agile approach.
  • Preferably with with experience in handling escalation, managing clients and operation with fast paced environment and tight SLAs.

Skills

  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership skills evidenced by achievement of objectives together with a track record of development of individuals with strong organization and planning skills along with the ability to handle capacity and MI reporting
  • Ability to build and maintain relations with business units and continuously give feedback by stringent follow up on service level agreements
  • Evidence of strong analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends, make projections and to interpret numeric information.
  • Evidence of strong operational decision making and be able to provide analytical support to the teams
  • Evidence of process management skills with an ability to initiate process improvements
  • Demonstrates strong awareness / ability to recognize and effectively contain financial and operational risk.
  • Able to work in pressurized environment and manage priorities effectively.
  • Dedicated approach to teamwork and ability to contribute to team effort.
  • Customer focused & committed to providing a high quality service.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good planning, organization & time management skills.
  • Experience with Excel, Bloomberg, Telekurs is preferred. ISO022 swift messaging experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proven rapid learning capabilities.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • With high aptitude in reading comprehension, analysis, investigations, logical thinking and Mathematics.
  • Experience in Securities processing environment especially in Corporate Action would be an added advantage.
  • Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with, relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
