We are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our MBPS Actuarial Function, US Retirement. Position Responsibilities:
Valuation, Modeling and Reporting
Lead and oversee the monthly and quarterly reserve calculations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards. Analyze results comprehensively to identify trends and drivers of variances.
Direct the team in financial modeling using GGY AXIS and other platforms, guarantying precision and consistency in projections, while maintaining robust and up-to-date documentation.
Support the preparation of the local capital plan, implement assumption changes, and meet other requirements of CFO office for ad hoc analysis and investigations.
Financial Planning and Analysis (PP&A)
Facilitate and support accurate and on-time completion of monthly and quarterly financial analyses and reports of the FP&A team, including the preparation of forecast financial plan, monitoring of special accounts, asset yields, and revenue cash flows.
Management of BCG and CSI Teams
Oversee and guide the BCG and CSI teams to ensure optimal performance and the successful execution of assigned tasks and calculations.
Consistently meet or exceed KPIs and targets by ensuring timely, efficient, accurate and comprehensive delivery of results, while maintaining clear and effective communication with business partners.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
Engage collaboratively and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure expectations are aligned, facilitating the timely and high quality delivery of services tailored to the specific needs of each service area.
Provide guidance to staff at all levels on actuarial concepts, modelling principles, financial reporting processes and technology, enhancing their professional development.
Provide strong, proactive leadership and coaching to a team of actuarial professionals, fostering their growth and engagement.
Make informed decisions regarding employment, compensation, performance appraisals, training and development to build a high performing team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field
At least 10 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
Associateship designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP), with meaningful progress towards Fellowship
Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, Qlikview, SQL, Python or similar program is a plus
Demonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information, results, and recommendations to various levels across the organization.
Strong ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, for self and others.
Able to work in an evolving and dynamic environment and resilient to pressure
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and has demonstrated team collaboration
Passion to grow and driven to be recognized as a trusted business partner
Amenable to work UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
