What You'll Own

• Drive the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by delivering timely month-end close activities, reconciliations and journal entries that support critical business and compliance requirements.
• Strengthen financial transparency by identifying, investigating and resolving account discrepancies, helping reduce risk and improve the quality of financial data across multiple entities.
• Influence business and finance decisions through insightful account analysis, variance reviews and reporting that enables stakeholders to understand performance and make informed decisions.
• Enhance operational excellence by partnering with colleagues across functions to improve accounting processes, support control effectiveness and increase reporting efficiency.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, supporting audit requirements and upholding Global Payments’ accounting policies and procedures.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and at least 5 years of combined experience in general accounting and/or audit.
• Demonstrated success managing month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and performing complex balance sheet reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes and deliver effective resolutions.
• Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle or SAP, with the ability to understand transaction flows into the general ledger.
• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

It's a bonus if you have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Experience supporting multinational or global business operations.
• Knowledge of process improvement, workflow documentation and financial controls within a shared services or complex accounting environment.
