Utilities Engineer

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

To implement work instruction and guidelines that would ensure safe, trouble free operations, and proper maintenance of utilities equipment; formulates work instruction and guidelines for the operations, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of utilities equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Daily Duties
• Ensures that above formulated instruction and guidelines are :
• Communicated to and properly executed by utilities operator.
• Assessed and updated as needed.
• Responsible for the safe, continuous and efficient operations of utilities equipment.
• Maintain equipment service control
• Implement safety and housekeeping policy
• To investigate causes of incident and take corrective action to prevent recurrence
• To ensure that personnel are properly trained
• Performs other related function as may be assigned by his superior
• Performs the function of fire brigade crew (emergency power crew)
• Attends safety meeting/toolbox meeting regularly
• Periodical Duties
• Assist in recruitment, training, and evacuation of performance of utilities operator.
• Prepares utilities , weekly monitoring schedule and personnel attendance record.
• Responsible for monthly HTM analysis and weekly combustion analysis.
• Maintains utilities equipment preventive maintenance records.
• Responsible for fuel bunker oil and coal stock inventory.
• Occasional Duties
• Performs troubleshooting on utilities equipment
• Assist the utilities supervisor in implementing preventive maintenance program for utilities equipment
• Assists the Utilities Superintendent in costing and implementation of utilities project.
  
  

• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (preferably with license)
• With 1 year experience as Staff Engineer in the operation maintenance and troubleshooting of boiler, oil heater, treatment facilities, air compressor, generator set, chiller and cooling tower.
• Amenable for 6 days work week schedule
• Willing for Shifting schedule
• Amenable to work on-site in Bagumbayan, Quezon City
