Job Description
- Prepare fresh, high-quality ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu at Ardenhills Suites, a leader in the hospitality and tourism industry.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to food hygiene regulations.
- Follow the head chefs instructions and present well-crafted dishes promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory levels and manage food cost controls to contribute to the profitability.
- Work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Position: Line Cook
- Educational Qualifications: No formal education required, though culinary training is a plus.
- Experience Level: 1 - 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and Cook Skill.
- Strict adherence to Kitchen Hygiene standards.
- Knowledge of Stewarding to maintain kitchen equipment.
- Ability to perform Mise-En-Place efficiently.
- Exceptional Attention to Details for consistent food quality.
- Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparation of ingredients and cooking meals to the chefs specifications.
- Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety practices.
- Stocking stations with necessary supplies.
- Collaborating with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Working Conditions: Fast-paced kitchen environment requiring long hours standing and working with hot equipment.
- Qualities and Traits:
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the capability to work under pressure.
