Your Role

As a 3D Artist , you will be responsible for:

• Importing meshes, textures & animations into blender
• Adding realistic Bevels to sharp angles of hard surfaces
• Creating and maintaining a material asset library
• Enhancing meshes with additional detail (bevels, threads, smoothing groups, normals)
• Creating Parent-Child hierarchies for moving components
• Drawing meshes based on basic measurements and pictures that are provided
• Splitting & Merging meshes to make them suitable for use in a Game Engine
• Instancing repeating meshes to reduce mesh count and avoid overhead
• UV Unwrapping Meshes for Light Maps and Texturing
• Assigning materials using standardized material asset library or custom textures
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Basic knowledge of industrial design principles
• Basic knowledge of Game Engine requirements
• Good knowledge of Blender (www.blender.org) software, focused on the following areas:
• Hard Surface Modelling
• Plugins like “Machin3 Tools” and “Normal Magic”
• Efficient use of modifiers & instanced meshes
• UV unwrapping & texturing
• Normal Map Baking
• (Geometry Nodes & animation)
