Overview

The Hype Society is seeking an experienced Senior SEO Technician with strong agency experience and a deep understanding of modern search optimization, including AI-powered search platforms and AI visibility strategies. This role will be responsible for driving organic growth across multiple client accounts, ensuring brands maintain strong visibility not only on traditional search engines such as Google and Bing but also within emerging AI-driven discovery platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and AI Overviews.

The successful candidate will combine technical SEO expertise, data analysis, content optimization, and AI search knowledge to deliver measurable improvements in rankings, traffic, leads, and digital authority.

Key Responsibilities

Technical SEO

• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits across multiple client websites.
• Identify and resolve crawlability, indexing, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals issues.
• Implement schema markup and structured data strategies.
• Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicalization, redirects, and site migrations.
• Monitor website health through Google Search Console and other SEO platforms.

AI Visibility & Generative Search Optimization

• Develop strategies to increase brand visibility within AI-powered search environments.
• Optimize website content for AI Overviews and generative search results.
• Identify opportunities for citation acquisition and authority building to improve AI referencing.
• Monitor and analyze brand mentions across AI search engines and answer platforms.
• Implement GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) best practices.
• Work with content teams to create AI-friendly content structures and knowledge assets.

SEO Strategy & Campaign Execution

• Build and execute SEO strategies for multiple client accounts.
• Conduct advanced keyword and search-intent research.
• Develop topical authority frameworks and content clusters.
• Perform competitor analysis and market benchmarking.
• Create and manage SEO roadmaps aligned with client goals.

Analytics & Reporting

• Track rankings, traffic, conversions, and engagement metrics.
• Generate monthly performance reports and strategic recommendations.
• Provide actionable insights using Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Looker Studio.
• Measure AI visibility trends and emerging search patterns.

Agency & Client Collaboration

• Participate in client strategy meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with developers, content writers, designers, and account managers.
• Train junior SEO specialists and provide technical guidance.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 5–7+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Minimum 3 years within an SEO or digital marketing agency environment.
• Strong technical SEO expertise.
• Experience managing multiple client campaigns simultaneously.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.
• Strong understanding of search algorithms, intent mapping, and content optimization.
• Experience building topical authority strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

AI Visibility Experience

• Knowledge of Google AI Overviews and generative search.
• Understanding of LLMs and AI-powered search platforms.
• Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Experience measuring brand visibility beyond traditional SERPs.
• Strong understanding of E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authority,   Trust) and digital authority building.

Preferred

• Experience with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and headless CMS platforms.
• Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge.
• Experience in local, national, and international SEO campaigns.
• SEO certifications from Google, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent.
