Key Responsibilities:

The Organization and Leadership Development Manager leads the development and execution of organizational and talent strategies that strengthen leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, employee development, and succession readiness. The role enables leaders, teams, and departments to build a high-performing, future-ready, and values-driven organization that delivers sustainable impact in support of WVDF’s mission and strategic goals.

This is an open-ended post based in Quezon City, but may require domestic travels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development & Planning

• Develop capacity building, leadership development, and organizational wellbeing & development strategies and plans.
• Design and implement programs that ensure retention of competent and committed staff and leaders, and drive organizational effectiveness.
• Develop or contextualize policies, guidelines, and systems for capacity building, leadership development, staff & organizational wellbeing and change, aligned with WVDF strategy.
• Ensure availability of approved budget for capacity building, leadership, and organizational wellbeing & development programs.

Leadership, Talent and Organizational Development

• Manage the execution of strategic leadership, talent, and organizational wellbeing & development initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Facilitate leaders to enhance their people management and change leadership competencies, ensuring increased compliance and ownership.
• Develop leaders’ capacity in managing and developing people, including capacity for change management using WV’s 4 domains of leadership.
• Lead organizational development interventions that improve structures, processes, and culture, supporting adaptation to change and continuous improvement.
• Ensure accountability for leadership, talent, and organizational development across all levels; monitor and report progress.

Staff Capacity Building, Performance Management, Wellbeing & Employee Engagement

• Provide oversight to the implementation of staff capacity building and organizational development strategies.
• Position performance management as a major platform to reinforce the organization’s accountability and effectiveness culture.
• Implement WV programs and/or support the development of learning platforms to live out WV Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Our Promise.
• Facilitate program capacity building and organizational change initiatives.
• Promote staff wellbeing and employee engagement through initiatives that foster a healthy, inclusive, supportive, and values-driven work environment.
• Support mechanisms that strengthen staff engagement, motivation, collaboration, and overall employee experience.

Data, Analytics & Effectiveness

• Enhance use of integrated data and analytics to provide a comprehensive picture of ‘people’ and organizational effectiveness for decision making.
• Establish measures of effectiveness for capacity building, leadership, and organizational development programs.

Networking & Coordination and cross-functional collaboration

• Liaise and collaborate with SLT, regional, and partnership contacts on capacity building, change management, and organizational development initiatives.
• Network with learning/education institutions and partnership entities for outsourcing and funding opportunities for capacity building, leadership, and organizational development.
• Lead and Support Organizational activities, compliance and promote cross-functional collaborations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences, Psychology or related field; certification in HR, Leadership or Organizational Development.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-year experience in human resource management, organization effectiveness, training & development or leadership development.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing and implementing learning and development initiatives using blended learning approach and measuring impact.

 Expertise:

• Excellent understanding of poverty and development and experience in working in an INGO context.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer/client orientation and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with creative problem-solving skills.
• Has excellent communication skills (oral and written) and does effective presentations.
• Passionate about investing in and developing people.
• Prior experience managing direct reports is preferred.
• A proven record of developing people in a cross-cultural setting and initiating and implementing organizational change.
• A mature and committed Christian who can lead Spiritual Nurture of leaders & staff.
