This role will be based in Manila supporting investment bankers based in Asia.

The Opportunity:

The Executive Assistant provides effective, end-to-end administrative and diary management support to Asia-based frontline bankers across a variety of roles. The purpose of the role is to ensure bankers are well supported day to day, schedules are managed smoothly, and stakeholders experience a consistently professional, responsive, and service-led approach.

    • Handles enquiries with discretion and sound judgement, ensuring messages are communicated clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
    • Maintains a consistently high standard of service, using a calm, courteous, and solutions-focused approach that reflects positively on the Manager and the wider team.
    • Protects the Managers time and priorities, managing interactions efficiently and ensuring urgent matters are identified and addressed appropriately.
    • Build and maintain a strong internal network, developing positive working relationships with HSBC colleagues at all levels to support smooth day-to-day service and effective collaboration.
    • Provide reliable cover for other Executive Assistants (EAs) within the team, ensuring continuity of support and a consistent experience for stakeholders.
    • Offer proactive assistance to the onshore EA team when workload permits, helping to manage priorities and maintain service standards during peak periods.
    • Work closely with the onshore team to strengthen teamwork, agreeing clear ways of working and ensuring robust cover and handover arrangements are in place.
    • Continuously reassess operational risks associated with the role, ensuring all activities are completed in line with HSBC’s internal controls, procedures, and policies to protect customers, colleagues, and the business.
    • Actively support continuous improvement and cost discipline, contributing ideas and participating in initiatives that simplify ways of working, improve service delivery, and help control or reduce costs where appropriate.
    • Keep HSBC’s sustainability commitments front of mind, making responsible day-to-day choices that support the reduction of our carbon footprint (for example, using video conferencing where suitable and selecting cost-effective, lower-impact options when travel is required).
    • Make effective use of technology, using available tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and communication, and adopting new solutions that enhance the customer and colleague experience.
