General Description Of The Position

The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s medical products within an assigned territory.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Implements promotional and selling activities designated by the Product Manager through the District Sales Manager (DSM) aimed at maximizing sales of assigned products relative to the potential of the territory.
  • Achieves sales targets set for the assigned territory.
  • Monitors sales performance status against the budget of the group in coordination with the DSM, checking sales records of the company as well as stock transfers.
  • Coordinates regularly with the credit and collection department on product distribution and account receivable status, and threshes out problems if any, in coordination with the DSM.
  • Visits and promotes product features and benefits regularly to doctors, hospital administrators, pharmacies, and drug stores to maintain acceptance and prescriptions of company products, and to establish good rapport with them.
  • Monitors regularly his own performance and recommends specific action plans to the DSM, implementing accordingly as approved by the DSM in coordination with the PM for budget allocation.
  • Communicates regularly with DSM to keep him abreast of ongoing projects and inform him/her of updates issued by the marketing department.
  • Exercises general management over his territory with close coordination with the DSM and in accordance with the specific strategy of the marketing plan.
  • Maintains the required number of MDs (including required specialty composition) and conducts regular coverage as required.
  • Submits required reports on time as mandated by his/her superiors.
  • Implements proper selection and coverage of MDs, including sustaining the necessary selling skills to optimize sales performance.
  • Strictly follows the code of conduct for field personnel.
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Marketing, and Science background or any related course
  • At least 6 months of sales experience (open also to those with inclination to sales)
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good adaptability skills.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and independently.
  • Must know how to drive.
  • Applicant will be assigned in CAMANAVA area
