Our Talent Team is on the hunt for a Dispatch Controller for the Baking Division. The role will be based at the Polokwane Bakery and will report into the Distribution Manager.

The Dispatch Controller is responsible for Responsible for the Despatch Department to deliver daily OTIF for Polokwane bakery and it’s depots including bakeouts to the rest of the Sunbake network as a supply bakery.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or related field preferable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a dispatch, logistics and distribution environment.

• Manage local feeders and route trucks to maintain 100% OTIF.
• Stock management and rotation.
• Coordinate loadings and departures for feeders to sister bakeries.
• Crate Management to ensure optimum production time.
• Seamless and flexible shift patterns in line with legislation and minimize overtime.
• Manage a pool of shunter drivers, dispatch supervisors, receiving clerks and loaders.
• Seamless and flexible shift patterns in line with legislation and minimize overtime.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly rooster and prepare timesheets for payroll.
