WSP, a world leading management and consultancy firm, is seeking Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The fast-paced firm is rapidly expanding, and this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team of design and drafting experts who will support your growth and development.

The purpose of opening the Senior Design Engineer - Electrical position is to oversee and coordinate the electrical systems for building projects from design through to project completion.

What Youll Do:

• Responsible for electrical system design, coordination & integration for building projects from design, tender preparation to project administration.
• Lead the design process, promoting cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Coordinate project documentation (drawings, specifications) and review team inputs
• Site inspection, coordination and attend meetings for building development of assigned projects.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure electrical design intent, compliance with codes and standards, and smooth execution from concept design through detailed design and construction administration until project completion.
• Identify and manage risks, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual processes.
• Monitor delegated tasks, flag resource concerns, and identify additional fee opportunities
• Provide technical support by means of review and approval of RFIs, shop drawings and other technical documents, coordination with other engineering disciplines, and represent WSP in testing and commissioning phases.
  
  
  

Desired skills and experience:

• Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering design experience and knowledge in electrical systems.
• Prior experience in engineering consulting work, particular in Healthcare Facilities will be advantageous.
• Candidate with strong knowledge in relevant Healthcare related Guidelines will be advantageous
• Proficient in the latest codes and electrical safety requirements relevant to Healthcare facilities such as but not limited to NFPA 99, IEC 60364-7-710, NEC Article 517, etc.
• Apply and interpret Healthcare electrical requirements and coordinate with local and international regulations relevant to the project location
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and specific electrical engineering software such as but not limited to ETAP, SKM, PowerCad, AGI32.
