APIC Developer

We are seeking an experienced APIC Developer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC) and related integration technologies. This role is crucial for enhancing our banking applications and ensuring seamless integration with various systems, thereby impacting our overall service delivery in the financial sector.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC)
• Build and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs for banking applications
• Configure and manage IBM DataPower gateways
• Handle full API lifecycle management including creation, publishing, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retirement
• Implement API security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and TLS/mTLS
• Integrate APIs with core banking systems, payment gateways, mobile banking apps, and third-party fintech platforms
• Develop message transformations using JSON, XML, XSLT, or JavaScript
• Troubleshoot API performance, connectivity, and gateway issues
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and business teams
• Prepare technical documentation including HLD, LLD, and API specs
• Support CI/CD deployments and automation pipelines
• Ensure compliance with banking security and governance standards
  
  
  

• Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–7+ years of API/integration development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC)
• Experience with IBM DataPower
• Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs
• Knowledge of JSON/XML and API Gateway policies
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API Security
• Experience with Java / JavaScript, IBM ACE / IIB, MQ, SQL / Oracle, and Linux/Unix
• Familiarity with Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger/OpenAPI, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps)
• Experience in digital banking
• Knowledge of payments and Open Banking APIs
• Experience with fintech integrations
• Understanding of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and SOA architecture
